Welcome to Houston High. Rebuilt and refurbished mental health facility, it was redesigned in 1988 by the municipal government in hopes of keeping some of the history around. First called Mountain Ridge High, students felt the name was inappropriate given their location, so a poll was taken and the name was changed, to Houston High School in 2001.
Now in 2014, the high school is still buzzing with life, one of the best high schools in South eastern Texas. With the top track team in the state as well as some of the most promising athletes overall, Houston High is a well respected school. However, like every high school, there is drama. Teenage love triangles and teacher/student scandals. All have become a part of the daily lives for those that attend the school.
